Nauyaca Waterfalls Tour

An 8-hour guided hike to the Nauyaca Waterfalls — lower fall at 80 ft and upper fall at 190 ft — with natural swimming holes, a semi-private beach, and lunch.

Your tour begins with a 45-minute hike through the colorful jungle. There is an incredible cascade that plummets 80 feet (24 m) into the plunge pool. Follow your guide to make a splash from ledges at 7 ft (2 m), 25 ft (7 m), and 33 ft (10 m) above the water. The tour spends about 90 minutes at the base of the waterfall. Afterward, you ascend to the upper level of the Nauyaca Waterfall — a staggering 190 feet (58 m). You admire the falls for about 45 minutes and then hike back down. Slide down the 20-foot (6 m) slide. After swimming around the waterfalls, the next stop is a peaceful, semi-private beach where you can swim and check out the caves that line the beach. Because this area does not see as many visitors, it is a lovely place to see wildlife like tropical birds and monkeys. Your guides provide lunch during the tour, and the day ends with a stop at a rustic restaurant.
