About this experience

Paddle through the mangrove estuary of the Paquita River — a quiet ecosystem where white-faced monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles, and birds are commonly seen.

The kayak tour takes place in the estuary of the Paquita River, where fresh and salt water mix in a mangrove ecosystem. The calm, quiet conditions allow for close wildlife encounters. Species commonly seen include white-faced monkeys, anteaters, boa constrictors, iguanas, crocodiles, turtles, crabs, and native and migratory birds. You paddle through the ecosystem for approximately 2 hours. At the end of the tour, the guide may take you to a small eco-farm on the same property, where you can see geese, ducks, hens, donkeys, and water buffalos. The tour schedule varies according to the tide and is offered once a day.
