This website is operated by Faro Travel, based in Monteverde, Costa Rica. You can contact us at info@farotravel.com.

2.What information we collect

The main information we collect is what you send us through the forms on this site (experience inquiry, general inquiry, transport, contact, tailor-made trip and travel agents). Depending on the form, this may include: name, email address, phone number, country, travel dates or approximate month, number of travelers and ages of minors, travel preferences, company (for travel agents) and the message you write.

We do not ask for credit card details on this site. Bookings and payments are processed on the third-party booking platforms shown on each experience.

3.How we use your information

We use your information to answer your inquiry, prepare trip proposals, follow up on your request and organize the service you book with us. We do not sell your personal data.

4.How your information is stored

When you submit a form, the information is sent by email to our team, saved in this site's database and, where applicable, a copy is sent to the email address you provided.

5.How long we keep it

We keep your data while we have a relationship with you or until you ask us to delete it.

6.Cookies and browser storage

This site does not use advertising or ad tracking. We store in your browser: your language preference, your cookie choice and, during your session, the order in which testimonials are shown. Site analytics only run if you accept them in the cookie notice. Third-party platforms embedded in the site, such as booking widgets, may use their own cookies under their own policies.

7.Providers and third parties

To operate the site we use providers that may process data on our behalf: the site hosting service, the email service, Google fonts, and the third-party booking platform (Rezdy), which has its own privacy policy.

8.International transfers

Some of these providers may be located outside Costa Rica. By using the site and submitting a form you accept that your data may be processed in those countries.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to info@farotravel.com. We will reply within a reasonable time. We process personal data in accordance with applicable law.

10.Minors

This site is not directed at minors. The ages of minors requested in the forms are used only to organize the trip and are provided by an adult.

11.Security

We apply reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
